Is it possible to lose weight with meditation? Is it possible to lose weight with meditation? This article is not in favor of medications or meditation. I have watched people losing weight with yoga and meditation. Yoga helps you get in shape and it burns 2 to 3 calories per minute.

The best yoga exercise is “Ashtanga vinyasa yoga” where there is never any separation between your breaths and movements. Every pose starts with inhales and ends on exhales. That is why yoga has good effects on n your metabolic rate. Yoga is also a good cardiovascular exercise.

Chinese traditions methods are also used to lose weight. Most people get good result with these methods and that is why Chinese tea, Chinese pills, and Chinese acupuncture are famous among people.

Meditation is not a method to lose weight but it is used to calm your mind and body. Meditation removes stress and it is a good way to release tension.

Medications are also successful for weight loss but there is a lot of discussion on this topic. It is always preferred to lose weight with diet and exercise. Medication cannot be a substitute for a healthy lifestyle. Healthy lifestyle guarantees long life and success. Meditation and yoga are indications of a good lifestyle.

Yoga or meditation can be used only if you are not overweight. If you are overweight, medications are necessary.

Medication vs. Meditation

    • You cannot use medication without the consent of your doctor. Do not take risk of your life. Weight loss supplements, pills, and shakes are included in medications.

    • Meditation can be done on your own. You can also use Chinese methods. Do not use acupuncture as a weight loss technique without medical supervision.

    • Medications have some side effects while meditation has none.

    • Medication makes you feel ill and sick. Yoga and meditation are indications of a good lifestyle.

  • Chinese tea and other natural supplements improve your overall health while medicines are used for treatments of certain problems.

What should be your choice?

It depends on your health. If you are an overweight person, go with medication. If you are living a healthy life, do meditate for 15 minutes. It will make your life happy and peaceful.

About Meditation of Frustration

I would make an attempt but walk away restless, confused, agitated, and tense beyond belief! Now what usually happens when you attempt something and fail to meet any expectations you’ve laid out? Well you might push forward (spurred by your devotion to succeed), or you’ll more than likely step away before you embarrass yourself anymore than you already have.

It didn’t matter how many books, articles, podcasts, etc. I exposed myself to in order to find that “missing” piece to a puzzle that was driving me up a wall – I still seemed to run into the same issues. That is until a friend directed me to binaural beats. A series of tonal repetitions that cajole one’s mind noodle into a serene and relaxed state. I.e. one cannot help but meditate while listening to those rhythms.

Couple that with some headphones, a blindfold, a comfortable position (lying down or sitting), some privacy, and you’ll be off to the races before you know it. But why? Well one needs to remove themselves from their daily rituals (like attending a coffee shop filled with chattering people) in order to temporarily sever ties with this turd we call reality.

But life is wonderful and beautiful, so why would I want to waste my time sitting around my head space when I could be dining on the latest Franken-food while watching my favorite NFL team crush their rivals? True, although meditating can actually increase your appreciation of life and all of its wonders by causing you to literally stop to smell the flowers.

Go inside for a bit and explore what you are you made of. But I’m scared of the dark! Fear not because the shadow holds the keys to unlocking your inner potential. Besides, you can always flip the switch to your right if you want a little light to accompany you along the way. It is your body. It is your temple. It is your choice. So relax and enjoy the process for it need not be frustrating.

When we see things we like, it makes us happy. When you are happy you aren’t stressed. That is why we decorate our homes and surround ourselves with these things that we like. Have you ever wondered why most vacations are taken in places near large bodies of water? These are places where you can find peace and tranquility. That is the whole idea of a vacation is to get away from the day-to-day, and enjoy the beauty of mother nature. However, vacations can be very expensive. Indoor fountains cost less than a vacation, and you can find one to fit any budget. Nature, on it’s own, is very tranquil and peaceful. Just imagine sitting on a beach, a river bank, or a pier on the lake. Close your eyes, and listening to the water current as it flows. It just doesn’t get more peaceful than that. Brain Science

Neurologists have said there are 2 orientation systems in our brain. The right one contains neurons that deal with sensory input about the directions and distance so we could move around safely. The system located on the left side connects us with different reality. The neurons in our body define the boundaries of each different system and our relation to the space around us.

Experiment showed that individuals who have gone through a meditation – after finding some quiet time and finding their inner spirituality – found an intense change in their posterior superior parietal lobe found in the left orientation area.

The brain is an electrochemical machine that uses electrochemical energy for it to function. Brainwaves display the electrical activity that emanates in the brain. It ranges from high amplitude, low frequency delta to the low amplitude, high frequency data. The brainwaves alter during meditation.

  • BETA. Normal alert consciousness, awake
  • ALPHA. Lucid, calm, not thinking, relaxed
  • THETA. Mental imagery, deep relaxation and meditation
  • DELTA. Deep and Dreamless sleep

Beta Waves. Also known as beta rhythm is used to designate the frequency range of brain activity between 12 and 30 Hz or 12 to 30 transitions per cycle. It happens during awaking awareness, concentration, extroversion, active conversation and logical thinking.

Alpha Waves. It is also called as Berger’s wave (from the founder of EEG). They are electromagnetic oscillations with the frequency range of 812 Hz developing from synchronous and coherent electrical activity of thalamic pacemaker cells of the human being. They put the brain in states of relaxation, non-arousal, hypnosis and meditation.

Theta Waves. This is an oscillatory pattern in EEG signals taken from either inside of the brain or from electrodes glued to the scalp. They happens during daydreaming, meditation, dreaming, paranormal phenomena, dreaming, ESP, out of body experience and shamanic journeys.

An individual driving in a highway and discovers that he cannot remember the last five miles in the state of theta waves. This is brought about driving in the freeway. This also often occurs during shower or bathing or while brushing your hair. This happens when a task is automatic that you can mentally disengage from them. The events that happen while in theta state is often free flow and occur without guilt or censorship. This is considered a positive mental state.

Delta Waves. These are high amplitude brain waves with a frequency pattern of oscillation between 04Hz. Like other brain waves, delta waves are recorded with an EEG or electroencephalogram. These are usually associated with deep sleep. This aids to characterize the depth of your sleep.

The left prefrontal complex increases activity during meditation. The changes are constant overtime. The effect remains if you stop meditating for a while.
